I've purchased engine bars for my 2019 T120 and am trying to fit them. The locate to the forward top and bottom engine bolt mounts. I'm having great difficulty undoing the top bolt and assume it will be even harder trying to do it up again. Do I have to remove the tank to get access to the top bolt?

I fitted givi engine bars using the bolts you describe. They are torx bolts and I did manage to get them undone using a good quality torx bit and extension bar. The nut was held with a stumpy open ended spanner. I managed it without removing the tank.
They do need torquing, the values are on here somewhere if not watch the TEC accessories you tube video on de catting a Bonneville. It shows the removal of these bolts and gives the torque values.

The engine bars are fitted and I am very pleased with the result. Now to fine highway pegs that fit 20mm dia. bars.

I eventually removed the tank to get access to the top bolts inside nuts. Just need to search the forum for the correct torque. Photos to follow. but don't hold your breath.
