Thank you for welcoming me to your forum. My name is Steve and I live in Gresham, Oregon which is a suburb of Portland. I just bought my friends old 2005 Triumph Tiger 955i, basically a stock bike with high miles. Is it wise to try and install the Tune-ECU map on this old beast or would that be wasting money. I've read many differing options. Thanks in advance. Regards, Steve
Hi Steve and welcome to the forum No experience with the upgrade, but looking forward to seeing your ride.
Hi Steve and welcome. I'm just wondering what would be the advantage of upgrading? I've run Tiger 955is for the last 5 years or so and done a lot of miles on them( still do.). They run up to around 134 mph if needed but I'm not brave enough to take mine over about 125. Those long forks start to weave a bit at those sorts of speeds. Personally I find the stock set up fine.... they're not exactly slow bikes for the adventure bike genre. I even took my aftermarket silencer off as on long trips the noise irritated me. I might just be getting old though. Al
don't try to fix it if it ain't broken ..... if it starts, runs fine and stops on command leave well alone C
