This is my first Triumph.. rider Honda all my life but wanted to join the cool crowd.. I purchase a 2020 Tiger 1200 Alpine addition in August of this year (in Canada) it currently has 4650 KLMs on it ... I am a mixture of elated and filled with hatred that I bought this bike.. In the short time that I have owned it - it has decided to leave me stranded twice now with the same issue. Return from a ride park it (with no adverse events) go back a few hours later hit the power button to initiate start sequence - after the initiation screen is done push the start button and ..... NOTHING !! Everything else works lights fuel pump all systems function fine- no error messages but no power seems to go to starter. WTF. After the first event - I took it to the dealer where it sat for 9 days and they called me to say... the bike started fine... nothing wrong with it! This sickening on a new bike WHAT do I look for??

I am not sure where to put this - I made the post about my 1200 Alpine starter issue.... appears that this is not a problem for anyone else so .... I thought I would post a follow-up in the event that anyone else ever had anything similar ... turns out Triumph doesnt have much of a quality assurance program. My intermitent starter issue was the result of a simple wire (going into the starter switch was never seated properly into the switch) on occasion the bike was all alive ...except to start...because this stupid little wire was not seated ... after my Stealer ( where I will surely will not be returning to) where I purchased the bike made no effort to trouble shoot... ended up taking it to The Bike Shoppe where they actually spent the time to figure it out but they are not a warranty repair (for Triumph - BUT Triumph should make them one...) SO I had to pay for the work... Worth it to know its fixed. So - if you have gremlins.... check for wiring!!
