had this new for a while

simple red and black wringing - I have for the time being just wired direct to battery and tested and works fine, is this a big no no on a basic scrambler ?

The manual suggests a switched ignition fused supply ( but I barely had room to fit the little autocom box )

is it likely to drain the battery quickly , damage the unit ? or have any potential damage issues ?

    thanks in advance.

I was surprised with how little room there is under the seat !!

Hi James If it was me I would wire the positive from the fused side of your fuse box that is only live when ignition is switched on as it will drain your battery if wired directly to the battery, the earth wire can be mounted to bike frame.

No problem James don't want you unable to get out due to a flat battery:D
