Hi..just joined the forum..i have a 2001 955i tiger which i.ve had for 18yrs and has done 27546 mi!es...most of the mileage done abroad...france..belgium...germany ..denmark..sweden...more journeys to south of france though...its never really let me down...other than snapping a chain outside paris...anyway, just before lockdown, late jan this year, i came off down a little lane in east sussex, not even 25mph as was wet/ damp, absolutely gutted....broke mirror .front brake lever...bent bars...smashed right pannier...right indicator...all fixed now, but having trouble finding paint code..log book just says BLUE...its that dark slightly metalic blue...any idea where you get the code from??
Martin Richardson Welcome to the family. Not sure on the colour code. But i did think someone last year posted the codes. Failing that somewhere under the seat there should be a colour code written on a label just check that with a good paint supplier. Regards Joe.

Hi and welcome. Is it really a 955i i? The photo you posted shows an earlier bike so you might need to look for codes accordingly. Unless I'm mistaken, of course, but none of my 955i's have had the earlier engine your photo shows. BTW I'm in Tunbridge Wells so not that far from you for what it's worth. Al

Will take the broken box cover to laguna in ashford first...then a paint shop....just need enough paint to colour match new black rear boxes...cheers

Hi...Thanks for your reply...long story short!!.bought bike from reputable dealership in Hastings@ 16mts old....just after passing test in 2003...sold as 955i...logbook came stated 855i !...went to dealers and queried...triumph data base 855i, o,k fine....year later triumph recall for tank connections plugged bike into computer comes up as 955i ????....not really that bothered, but would like to know for sure as allegedly on the year of change spec ?? All i know is it has been exceptionally reliable and has only been recovered once in 18years...(that was ignition switch issue)...actually going to isle of coll and sky in two weeks if covid restricions allow....anyone know of a tank bag for it? Have a baglux bag but we absolutely no idea where cover is! ...i lived in t.wells years ago...grovenor park ..and boyne park...regards Martin
