Arrow Twin Exhaust/ Evotech Tail Tidy

It looks as if it's your exhausts are out of alignment to me.

The left hand arrow is a mile away.

 

Firstly have the exhausts been taken off before?
Take a look at that sides exhaust hangers and fixings, I think they've been put on wrong, you can gauge this by the otherside that looks ok.
If the fittings look ok get a long thick bar and bend that one back into alignment.

 

Don't be daft buddy or you could go back to the dealer and ask them to sort it but that's all they'll end up doing.
Bar up exhaust hole and bend it over sleightly.

 

Shit buddy sorry to hear that, hope everyone you know is staying safe.
Any bar will do the trick, half inch solid long bar, it shouldn't damage the baffle.
Just take your time really to get it right.

 

Bought an after market exhaust for Norbert and had to do the same, it was way too close to the shaft drive, so got a long bar, some downward force was applied and now it's fine, nothing was damaged buddy.

 

If the Speed Triple is like the Street Triple, then if you loosen the exhaust clamps under the seat where the silencer pipe joins the down pipe, then you can turn the silencer and alter the angle of the silencer slightly, thus changing the distance of the end of the silencer to the center point. This works even if the silencers have a fixed mounting bracket (like the Street Triple std silencers).

Please don't go levering them with a bar!

 

I had to do the same to my rs aswell, it was like yours, sleightly out on one side.

Why not, they haven't been taken off?

 

Because, assuming the pipe layout is similar to the Street Triple, you most likely don't need to, simply loosen clamps, twist, tighten clamps, easy!

 

I know what you saying buddy but on the rs the exhaust isn't a hanger it's a solid welded bracket that bolts directly on the subframe, I tried always to align mine correctly, in the end I resorted to gently move it by force.
No damage was caused and it sorted the problem.

 

The other problem is, the early street triple is a better built machine.

 

I know, like this below. But it does work, I've done it on my Street Triple a couple of times. Same principle also works on my Bonneville as well.



Once the clamp is loosened, it allows movement of the end of the silencer. Because the silencer pipe is not straight, you can kind of change the pivot point and the end of the silencer moves left and right.

 

It does your completely correct Mrb, I've done it a few times on mine, I'm sure it only gives you millimeters of movement/adjustment, just take a look at this fellas exhausts, it would take a miracle to move it cm's

Try taking the steps from the advice given above, if all else fails..... GET THE BAR OUT
