Dont know if anyone else has previously had this issue but would appreciate some help before I send the bike to the garage...
The bike became hard to start, put a charger pack on and it started first time, gave the battery some juice and everything was fine.
Left the bike for 2 weeks and obviously the battery had died again, lights etc... came on the dash but it didnt seem to have enough juice to start up, left the charger on the battery all night, come out the next morning and still the same... lights on... trying to start "click click" but no start up.
Bought a new battery fully charged from P&H in Crawley, put that on the bike and literally nothing now, turn the key, no lights no NOTHING!

I honestly do not know where to start, has anyone else had this kind of issue?

Did you ( in your haste) forget the side stand, clutch lever? Still should have lights, eh?

    Fuses and connections checked.

On my 955i the bike's main fuse is separate from the others - it's fastened to the side of the battery box. Might be worth a check??

Ive honestly tried all the idiot things, but keep throwing them at me and if theres anything Ive missed ill certainly check it.

Good point about the fuses though, check the small ones just behind the battery, are there any other to check?

The battery ive had checked out to see if it was a crap one, but all is well and its healthy and charged.

You said the lights came on with the old battery in and it didnt start, but it seems the lights do not come on with the new battery fitted. For a start there is something wrong there, are you sure it is connected right and what reading do you get from a meter at the battery, you should get above 12.6 volts i think. If you are only showing 12 v or so, the battery could be faulty even tho it seems ok and is new. Check the terminals on the battery are the same way round,it could be connected the wrong way even tho it looks right, sometimes the terminals are reversed, I have had that on a car battery once many years ago . Do you have access to a known good battery you can swap over to check?? Also check the fuses are a nice fit, not loose, and the terminals are clean. If you have any spare fuses , change for new ones.

Could be fuses - had similar problem on a previous Bonneville. None of them were blown but just removing them and putting them back seemed to cure it.
    Bad earth?
    Any loose connections?

HOW OLD IS THE BIKE AND HOW CLEAN, ANY CORROSION ? clean the bikes battery terminals and look from there back to starter and through loom connectors if your not getting any thing, then the problem could be near the battery. When you checked the new battery did you check the old one?

Could be an earth problem, check voltage across battery terminals and then battery + to a good connection on frame and then engine. Taking battery in and out may have moved connection on frame or bad joint in earth/ negative lead

Hi all, I am going though a starting problem. My Street Triple cranks like crazy but doesn't start. Not a hint of combustion at all. Changed and charged a new battery but no luck. It has been sitting for a few years with occasional running every few months but that's all. It started and ran about two months ago no problem. I drained the gas tank and refilled with new gas the other day. Could it be old gas in the system that is causing it not to start? Or a sensor that went bad just sitting in the garage?

    Any advice well appreciated!
