Lucky man living in Norway. If Covid had not prevented it my main trip this summer was to be the northern half of Norway, having done the southern half on my previous wonderful visit (photo). I thought the low speed limit would be annoying but there is so much to see in the landscape that steady progress is good. My main concern about the low seat Tiger is the absence of a centre-stand. The side stand is very convenient for quick parking but maintenance is made much more difficult without a centre-stand. The lower position on the standard bike's seat suits me fine despite my short legs.
Very lucky indeed. In fact although I miss visiting my family in England. The onset of COVID did make me realise that if I'm going to be stuck somewhere. This is a pretty amazing place to be stuck. Blessed with a 'very rare' mild day today. So will be riding the 40 miles of amazing roads to Trollstigen after work I plan to take a stock rally pro and simply swap the seat. So I'll have center stand etc. A similar ride height can be had, with a low seat, on a Africa twin. But these are far more expensive than Triumphs here. Plus the bike is generally bigger.
There's probably a lowering link option coming along soon (there normally is ..) so you could probably have the standard heated seat AND the ride height you want.
