I’ve just had a neighbour visit who works for an agency that is involved in Triumph testing.....and he’s took a look at my 2013 SE and he is utterly convinced that it is carbed , not injected..... and put the theory forward that mine is New old stock!

As far as I am aware injected it is, with some very clever design that look like carbs ...he would not be convinced.....log book states first reg 09/01/2013 type 986MF

    am I correct ?

You are correct it is injected unless some one has converted it back to carbs. Triumph never did late carbed model. Easy way to tell is look at the left side of the carbs and they should have the plug attached to them.

    Joe.

These are of my 2015 Newchurch Bonnie.
Basically carb bodies with injectors inside.

I’ve got the identical bike and it’s injected.

Wow i agree he should stay as far away from bikes as possible. And I wouldn't be trying to convince him I'd be showing him the door.
    Regards
    Joe.

No got to be the door. Bloody windows cost to much to repair. But just goes to show you people talking rubbish when they should keep their gobs shut. Unless they have something constructive to say. And certainly people claiming to be a test jockey for Triumph which i doubt as well.
    Regards
    Joe.

He nipped round to my house and I showed him my bike....

    ‘It’s got Carbs’
‘the clutch Adjuster wheel is in the wrong position’ then proceeds to check play in the lever
‘Looks like you’ve got a weeping rocker gasket...(wipes with finger) oh..it’s shiny rubber.’
‘Don’t leave it on an optimate.. It’ll fry the battery’ (pointed out to him that it was a brand new one that switches itself off)
Started it up....’ Exhausts could do with being louder’

he then examines front caliper ‘ floating caliper...non floating disc ‘

then it’s back to the clutch adjustment

‘ I don’t know how much you know about mechanical stuff but there has got to be a bit of free play at the clutch lever otherwise you’ll fry the clutch’ ( there is)

so I now feel a bit more knowledgable... especially as the Bonnie is probably the 150th Bike I’ve owned (no kidding)

Last year I dropped by the local Harley Davidson dealer to have a look at their bikes - I was riding my 2014 T100 SE at the time. The salesman insisted my bike was carbed, despite my best efforts to advise him (as the owner of the damn bike!) that it was indeed fuel injected.

A week later he had the grace to email and apologize for his mistake. So Harley has that going for them I guess...
