Well I had to check the last photo because when I washed the bike yesterday I was alarmed to find a glittery silver stripe on 3/4 of the tyre circumference. It went from being ‘a bit squared off’ (I will need to replace it in Spring) to ‘grainy’ (seeing photo as I now do) to outright illegal/unsafe in about 260 miles. Angel ST seem to wear fast at the end.
I would have would have said EEK! If I’d noticed halfway through a ride... Oops implies a kinda “I got away with that!”
Great ride out to one of our biker hotspots near where we live... The Falltorhaus (not far from the town of Schotten) @heartlander took his Scrambler 1200 and brought his son Nico and Christoph, a colleague on a Yamaha Fazer. I took the ditchpump! (The Thruxton was a bit appalled ) Some nice machinery was waiting to be drooled on, like that orange Laverda...
Managed a quick ride out of about 10 mls dropped in at the range but nobody shooting....first ride for a while since the photo shoot in fact the wife wants to go out but she has just had carpel tunnel surgery so she will have to wait a bit much to her disgust.
Looks like a fun day out, Daniel! Thanks for the pics. But your Thruxton was probably very appalled (rightfully so) and has just learned how to hide it.
Had a nice afternoon riding round Dumfries and Galloway and Wigtownshire great day out managed 170 miles on my new bike getting the feel for it now.Even wore my new helmet for the first time.
I can just picture you guys all standing around waiting while he hiked into the weeds to get "that perfect shot", Steve! And I have to admit I can picture it because I've been the hiker.
Great weather for a ride today and Su rode the TT for the first time, It sounds a lot louder from behind
