When alarm is put in service/diagnostic mode the count of alarm led will tell you what is triggering your alarm this is a feature of this type of alarm system it is possible that you have removed seat of bike and have broken the seat micro switch lever.

No cutting the loom Peter, simply un clip the plug and socket that joins the Datatool into the loom and bridge 4 specific terminals which is exactly what the blanking plug does.

Oh right I haven't got this list to diagnose by the number of LED flashes, I hadn't taken the seat off until this issue came about.

Got home parked up an hour later started, very weird

You just need to crimp some small electrical pins onto one 2" length of wire and the same on a 3" length and bridge some terminals 1&2 and 3&5 .

I am sure you are very capable of doing this to your own bike but not everyone is, a badly connected wire or wrongly connected wire can unfold a bigger problem in making it more expensive to fix or causing unreliability issues later.

Tried all of this mate, I've even turned nudge mode off to count out any of the sensors but still goes off straight away .

No inline fuse and have checked the standard fuse box, weird though the horn isn't working? Now I've only ridden the bike a handful of times and never needed to use it and it wasn't brought up at the MOT

Tried all that mate, now I've read all the horror stories online I'm thinking of getting it removed, £100 for a Datatool installer to come to my place of work and remove it, got the feeling this is the start of further issues and don't really like the idea of being stranded at the service station because the fob or immobiliser packs up !

OK if you are not happy to do this yourself that's fine and I think £100 for someone to come out to you and remove alarm is not on the expensive side, If you have told insurance that you have a alarm it will be a good idea to tell them it is not in place now along with any other modification you have done or intending to do in the near future, I did lots of alterations to my bike and even the notified them about bar end mirrors all at the same time only charged me £35 admin charge only to update my insurance a big peace of mind.

Adam, Don't forget the remap you had as well, you really need to start enjoying what you spent on the bike now.

You just need a few more days like that one without any more bike problems.
