I managed to take out a couple of tigers, must have been 800 yds !!! No, sorry wrong type of tank !!!:oops::oops:

Managed 165 miles on a tank, from brimmed to light on, mostly 2 up, but a few solo spirited miles as well. Is this norm for an America, what you getting???:D

How far have you gone after light on ???

Am well, nice wee run to Carlisle today, picked up some Triumph clothing bargains, T-shirts, hats and a pair of kevlar jeans at KC Superbikes.

Had to give the bike a proper clean, was covered in a fine layer of salt when we got back.

Tank filled and 170 solo miles today, and no fuel light !!! Managed 185 on the clock before I filled it this morning and cost £17.50, so well pleased with that as a rough mpg calculation @ 48mpg. Happy days.

Fuel light flicked on and off for a while today and filled up at 182 miles. Put 16.02 lits in think it worked out at 51 mpg. Happy with that but will check next tank also

My fuel consumption is determined by SPG! If I get to a petrol station and I'm still smiling I don't care what my odometer says, Smiles Per Gallon is what it's all about. If you don't get enough SPG per tank go buy a Volvo.

According to google, tank sizes are pretty similar between Bonneville and America @ 16 litres. Did 177 again yesterday before light on and fuelled up at 191.

It's not the MPG, I am particularly bothered about, but coming from a GSXR750 that you were lucky to get 120 before light came on, doing nearly 200 miles between fills is a bit of a bonus.
