Shit news Graham but sometimes when work is getting you down, redundancy can be a blessing. I hope that's the case with you.
Sorry to hear that Graham, but you’ve had a great long holiday on them I guess! Hope you find the right thing for the next stage mate.
Sorry to hear about redundancy Dilli but life is too short to spend 8 hours+ per day doing something you hate.
Aw bollox, Dilli! At least you saw it coming, not that that is any consolation. As others have said, you need to get your health problems sorted out firstly, whilst looking for a new career. Sadly (happily?) you have time to do both. Think of it as an opportunity to do summat that you've always fancied having a go at - no, not that, or that and keep well away from that!!!! Here's a possible scenario .... Tesco home delivery driver. I'm sure I heard that they were wanting around 16,000 nationwide. A waste of good talent, I know, but a possible stopgap? I got my HGV licence as a stopgap/fall back in 1987 and ended up getting jobs driving wagons until ill health stopped play in 2012 and retirement came along in 2015. Life is full of twists and turns. Good luck, mate. I wish you well.
I'm so sorry to read this, Dilli. Between your shoulder and your employment you've taken a beating. I truly feel for you. I've got my fingers and toes crossed and prayers going up that things turn around for you soon and that you know that you've got friends pulling for you.
I get exited when one door closes as it give me freedom to explore my skills. If your on the tools your more likely to be useful to a bigger crowd than you think rather than deadend desk shit.
Really sorry to hear that. That accumulated with health issue is not something funny. Stay strong, and next time I travel to my office in your area (Sunderland) we arrange an "international meeting" with some real ales.
Trying to be positive... hopefully you'll get a nice compensation package, some time to get your shoulders fixed, and time to enjoy your Tiger I hope everything works out well for you Dilli and that you find another job soon Ever thought about modelling
Sorry to hear this Dilli Redundancies are never nice at anytime, but this is as bad as it gets. Hope you find something soon, if it does happen.
Wank news, mate. Glad to see that you're not too fussed though. Hopefully it waint be a long job fixin thi shoulders.
Thats crap - although you seemed to be sensing it. Its never easy to be positive nowadays , but maybe having the bike and using it to clear the head , worked for me. Fingers X'd something else will become available .
If you hated it, then maybe its the chance you need to move onto something new that you enjoy Either way its not a nice feeling, been there myself. Don’t let it get you down. Keep positive and something else will come around. Were you there long? Hopefully you get a decent package out of it.
Just been to work to clear my desk so to speak Got my tools back but the box is still in the back of the car until my son finishes work as I can’t lift it Managed to snaffle a few bits and pieces that I shouldn’t have I REALLY am not bothered at all about never going back there I’ll just turn the page and get on with it
