Not really sure a non lockable fuel cap warrants quite that level of vitriol mate, you'll give yourself a heart attack. Don't think I've come across anyone on this forum with a non lockable cap that has had their fuel pinched and then their bike gone after they went to get more fuel but I could be wrong. If it's that much of a concern just buy an aftermarket one and enjoy your ride safe in the knowledge your fuel is secure. Edit: If you put your Oxford lock and chain on your bike when you go to get more fuel then hopefully the bike won't get nicked while you're away.

Yeah sorry Jez, I saw your post after I'd added mine . I don't want to interfere with DD Global Enterprises Inc
Who the feck would nick petrol out of a bike pretty random I've a few with no locks (old ones) I'd like to catch the c@nt who tries
I had my Kawasaki GT750 stolen years ago I didn’t blame Kawasaki though Blamed the Feckin scumbags that stole it
Don't get me started there are several shops on my ban list including the local pound shop who refused to sell me 10 tins of petrol lighter fluid apparently 2 is the limit wtf feck em left them on the counter and I haven't been back hope the place burns to the ground............ Oh yeah see what you mean
I had some scroat steal petrol from my old Honda CB 750K6 in the 80's, He died in an accident a few month's later "KARMA"
sounds like he didn't actually lock it to anything? Surely, we all know that the bikes are more likely to be lifted into a tranny with loud music on (to drown out any alarm) as the noise to nick them is the grinder to get the chain off is likely to get the rozzers?! Also, if his bike is nicked, why is he saying it's for sale???? i'm confused?
Ensure you never have more than 4 litres of fuel in the tank, that way it will only cost about £4 at current prices to replace, this could happen 8 times and it will still be cheaper than an ebay fuel cap
Is it me but @( Mad Prophet ) has posted his rant about triumph and not bothered to respond to any of the responses ? What is that all about
How would a locking petrol cap help prevent theft of a motorcycle, a cheap Poundland screwdriver would get it open in seconds. The theft of petrol then the bike does not ring true, were the hell did he leave it, are you really trying to say no one witnessed the person/persons with a fuel can and syphoning the petrol, absolute rubbish. Without going into details of my professional career, I have written more Court Reports on perpetrators of car and motorcycle theft and goods than I care to remember, never have I heard such utter nonsense. Sounds like the guy was ranting with a gripe at Triumph for reasons best known to himself. Locking petrol cap to prevent bike theft my arse.
