Hey guys, the tail plastics on my TT are not in great shape, with the bolt down holes both broken. I have tried looking on flea bay for replacements but they are like hens teeth and when they are on, are priced the same. I’ve seen a couple of the Daytona 600 seat units and was wondering if the rear subframes would swap over so I could go that route? They look very similar where it bolts to the frame.
I know I would have to get the seat pads as well as the plastics and frame, but they are a little more available and I like the split seat look. I could go single seat, but I like taking Mrs Klang out on the bike so I can’t go that way. What do you think?

    Hi,
I dont know is the simple answer but a mate tried fitting a Daytona back end onto his 675 street and it was nowhere near; total non-starter.
It would be worthwhile double checking the subframe mountings relationships to each other.

I know that the Daytona 600 was based on the TT600 so it's possible, another option would be if you can find a tail section from a Speed 4 as they are identical. Finally there is a company offering race bodywork for the TT here, not sure what it's like but it might be worth looking at

I’ve actually been watching a set of yellow S4 bodywork on Fleabay. I’ve probably missed it now, having just had to spend about 200 quid getting new discs and pads for the wife’s car. I’ve got a mate who has a Daytona 600 so I might ask him to measure the bolt spacing vertically and across the frame. That was my thought, the D6 is basically a redressed TT with a few tweaks to the engine.

I decided that my tail plastics were easily fixable so I have done that.
Had a disaster with the nose cone though as while fixing a crack, it broke on a previous repair and bounced on the floor, breaking into several pieces.

So I have now decided to S4/TT hybrid instead and have done a colour change too.

Pics to follow once it’s back together.
