Street Triple Clutch Switch Issue?

Maybe you should adjust the cable. See if that works ! Or see if the switch has some adjustment or needs tightening ?

 

Did you get to the bottom of this? Ive started having an issue with mine. Took the switch out, put it back - ok again. Suspect bad contacts or insufficient contact force (crappy plastic switch with weak spring) might be the cause - bad design possibly.

 

Do you know for sure it's the clutch switch ?
The reason I ask is that my 2015 Street Triple R has started to play up. Sometimes when I press the start button nothing happens. Sometimes it gives a little chug and sometimes it starts. On occasions I've had to press the start button five or six times before it starts.

 

It wouldnt even turn over as if a safety device was preventing it, like being in gear or the clutch not being pulled in (or it thinking so).

 

As suggested by Dozers Dad in the '2 faults appeared overnight' thread, Battery is a likely candidate.
