2 faults appeared overnight

Fuel blockage?

 

Fuel pump relay ?

 

I know of two people who have had trouble with clutch lever switches.
Same problems wont turn over. Turns out they are expensive to buy new and hard to find second hand.

 

Iv been told trying to by pass the switch can cause some other problems

 

I just had the same problem this evening. Pushed bike out, leathers on, ready to go - nothing. No fault lights, all normal but just no response to start. Pulled and released clutch lever several times - nothing.
Not ridden it for 3 weeks - battery at 10.8V. Put it on charge for a few hours - battery at 12.4V - still nothing. No clicking or anything.

Had the switch out, tested continuity with a meter - switching ok. Put it back but kept gaiter rolled back to access connection and again tested continuity with meter - switching ok with clutch lever.
Tried a start - turned over ok.
2 possible explanations:
1. A slight increase in battery voltage between testing at 12.4V and testing the switch 1/2 hour later made the difference - unlikely
2. The switch is a bad design and doesn't function reliably - messing with it changed somethign - more likely.

Anyone - Any other possibilities?

For information, its east to get to the connections without removing the switch - just slide the metal gaiter clip back and roll the gaiter back over the wire sleeve. This makes them accessible to test at least.

First, thank you for searching the forum for a solution prior to starting a new thread,

What year is your bike, as switch types change over time
Glad you were able to get it turning over, maybe to prevent it happening again, giving the connection area a spray of protective coating (GT85) could halp prevent water ingress if this is a possible cause

First though, give any visible contacts a clean with an alcohol solution
