    Hello all.
I'm desperately hoping someone can enlighten me here [by just looking at these 2 pictures], as to whether or not this seat will be compatible with a street twin 2017? The owner doesn't know, all he told me is that it came off of a 900cc Scrambler. Now please forgive my ignorance, but what do you think?

I'd greatly appreciate any expertise than anyone could offer....

    Cheers muchly.
    James

No, it does not have the locking mechanism at the rear which holds the ST seat on

the Bonny Comfort seat should fit, if your looking for comfort to me the Stock ST seat is horrible, too wide. I bought the leather bench seat (you can pick them up off Ebay £150 ish) and I found it all day comfy, possibly as I have a fat arse

Many thanks for that Repooch. My own arse is somewhat on the ample side as well and I really don't like the standard ST seat. At 6 foot 3" i'm too low on it.

I've been looking for a leather bench seat on Ebay and elsewhere, but I can't see anything for less that around £350. Someone told me about a place called Crafton Atelier who make and import saddles from Thailand. I'm going to take a look.

    Thanks again for your help

No worries, they do come up on eBay quite regular, and sell normally between 150-190, I bought brown then a black, both sold a while back. There is a Bonnie comfort seat that will fit but it needs to be the more modern Bonnie, can't remember the part number, sorry but they do tend to be in the 300's. Cracking bike the ST, miss mine, albeit the Scrambler 1200 is a beast, at 6 foot 3 you'd love the Scambler, in reality, I'm a tad too short.

Cheers mate. I haven't actually bought the Street Twin yet, i've only test ridden it. I'm picking it up on Saturday. I can't wait. My first Triumph. Matt black, 2017 with very low mileage. The only problem is - the saddle. It's a standard one and a bit too low for me . The seller has knocked a bit off of the price to compensate for my replacing it. I think I might go down the Crafton Atelier route. They're about £260 including shipping [I hope], which I think is pretty good for new.

I saw some bloke reviewing one of their saddles on YouTube and he reckons them. If you can spare a minute, I'd be interested to know what you think?

Can't say I've heard of Crafton, the seat I wanted but it was even more expensive was The British Customs Slammer, it adds about an inch and a half to the height which is about a half more than Triumph bench. The Triumph bench seat is not much more @£285. There are a lot of Chineses seats floating about which I avoided. If you don't know Motone already, they do some cracking parts for the ST, not seats though. I had their tail tidy and decat pipe amongst quite a few other bits, easier just to have your salary paid directly to them:). The decat makes it sound brilliant, enjoy. https://www.motone.co.uk/motorcycle-parts-c26/triumph-bonneville-c25/street-twin-2016-now-c106

Brilliant insights, thanks again R. I shall certainly be looking in on Motone. I'm determined to Boycott anything coming from China.

Roll on Saturday - I can't wait to pick the bike up. I'll post a pic as soon as possible.

Thanks a lot mate, I picked it up yesterday --- finally.

To say I'm delighted with it is an understatement. Had a marvellous ride home through the countryside. Insured myself for just £140. Compared to my much older, beaten up YAMAHA TMAX which cost me £400 to insure last year, it's an astute financial move. At least that's how I explained it to Mrs Leech.

I'll post another photo when I get the bench seat. TTFN.
