I removed my wheels, getting new tires. I removed the brake calipers to ease wheel removal. Question, should I Loctite (blue, I assume ) the brake caliper bolts when I reassemble everything? I did on prev bikes, but I found no evidence of Loctite on these. I tended to use Loctite on EVERYthing threaded on my Harley Davidson and old Kawasaki VN800. Opinions or advice? Tommy
Ha!... good one! I was a bit surprised at how un-tight they were, and that no signs of Loctite were present. Thanks, Tommy
I am inclined likewise. I've not heard/read any ill effects of it, no, "Ee-gads NEVER on a Triumph!"..... Thanks, Tommy
M1Tommy I use silicon on my bolts. Simply because it will stay there and the bolts do not loosen till you want them to. Used this method as long as I can remember even on classic Triumphs and BSA'S and Norton's and it works for me. I even use it to seal exhausts and they stay that way till I want to remove them. Regards Joe.
