I opted to go the adventure route. I figure that when you've reached your 60's, your entitled to add some adventure. Got a used Tiger 800XC ABS. I will admit, being only 5'7", I find that I can either a) tip toe when I stop, or b) buy the lower seat and flat foot it while feeling more stable and comfortable at stops. I opted for the latter, of course.

I look forward to having a few adventures, riding out of Columbia, South Carolina in the USA. Perhaps I'll find some of the lesser followed paths and have a few tame adventures I can share. I still have to figure that out as I still have a couple teenagers in school, so will have to limit the adventuresome spirit a bit.

Can wait to show the bike to my daughter, who started riding about 2 years ago.

I just did my first "enduro" test of my 2019 Scrambler 1200XE this morning. I came down from Greenville, SC to Columbia and back to see how A) my stock seat felt and B) how my new Ruroc helmet felt on long stretches of highway. I think I'll opt for a Corbin seat at some point in the near future and while loud at upper highway speeds the Ruroc is a pretty nice carbon fiber lid.

Shoot me message if you make up through the Greenville area and we can at least grab a coffee and compare notes on routes through the area. I have a couple of favorites through the back roads to Asheville and Brevard North Carolina.

I sure will. I got the bike in Asheville, but took 26 back to Columbia. Super boring ride and lots of crazy cars and trucks. One of these days, I'd like to do the Dragon.

Thank you! And I'm looking forward to riding with my daughter. She is selling her first bike, the Honda Rebel, and jumping to the 750cc range for her next. Maybe a Triumph )

Good for her for starting on a Honda Rebel! A terrific choice for a starter bike and a wonderful springboard for a new bike. What sort of motorcycles does she gravitate towards? I think it's cool that Triumph has a few options for different styles/purposes of motorcycles in that "small" (er) displacement category. But maybe the 765 Street Triple might not be the best choice though it's in the 750cc range. ;) That said, I don't know your daughter...it might be perfect!
