Going to look at a 2013 Speed Triple tomorrow, it's done 7k miles, recently serviced and MOT'd. Looks well in the pics and has some nice little mods (mirrors, arrow under seat cans & reservoirs).

Are there any specific weak points or things the "hive mind" suggest I look out for.

Really hoping this is "the one"!

    Thanks in advance ;)

    Hub not seized.
    Discs not warped.
    Corrosion on the suspension.
    Good luck.

No didn't get a test ride as it was a private seller. Bikes really tidy for 7 years old, it's clearly been loved and ticks all the boxes...so I pick it up tomorrow.

Sod's law the wether is going to be cool, wet and windy for the 140 mile ride home!

How was the ride home? You happy with it? It's a lovely looking bike...

Yeah the ride home was grim, 140 miles, high winds, heavy rain and my first experience on a naked bike don't really do much to promote the biking experience.

However, I'm chuffed AF with it, I've already given it a quick wash, its dirty again now though, hoping for a dry spell sometime tomorrow to carry on getting to know it.

I'm part of a funeral procession on Friday for one of my oldest friends, he's going in a bike hearse and I'm the only other bike...need to get it tip top looking for then.

That's not good for your first ride on a new bike is it. Especially on a naked. Oh well, it's done now.
I picked one up last week and I'm the same as you. Couldn't be happier. Fantastic bikes.

Sorry to hear about your mate Clazzer. I hope everything goes as well as can be expected.

Thanks mate, yeah I've got a VFR1200X Crosstourer, so the Triples torque is no surprise being used to a V4 Honda (with an Akra fitted!) but going from a touring screen on a bike that weighs 300kgs to the Tripple was...let's say, different
