Stuart Fillingham recommends GT-85 spray in his wonderful bike cleaning video here:

I'd love to get some, but apparently it is no longer available in the U.S. I learned the WD-40 company bought them, but it is still available in the UK, but this may be why it is no longer available in the states.

Will the WD Specialist dry lube with PTFE do the same thing? Anyone used this product? Thanks

I know it’s available in the UK. Not in the states, though. And I’m not looking for chain lube. Stuart sprays GT-85 on the engine and frame parts to make next cleaning easier. Uses wax on painted surfaces and wheels.

I didn’t get any replies on the rat, either. Guess I’ll just have to try this and figure it out myself. Shame I can’t get GT-85 any more though.

Yikes! £50 shipping. No thanks. I’ll have to give the other product a try. Probably similar stuff.

Wurth also not available in the states. WD-40 and a CRC product are my only choices. Apparently.

I would recommend scott oiler fs 365 if you can get it i use it when I lay my bike up for the winter but you could just as easily use it between washes

Well, I confirmed that WD-40 pulled it from the U.S. market when they bought the company. It was very popular in bicycle circles, and I suspect Tri-Flow is very, very similar to it. I'm just going to buy some Tri-Flow and see how that works.

It's frustrating that such a beloved product even in the U.S. market was pulled, but that's the way of business, I guess. I am pretty confident this will do what I want it to do, as per that Stuart Fillingham video.

Thanks for the responses, folks, but GT-85 isn't worth all the machinations I'd have to go through to get it. It's a great product, but I bet this will do the job just as well.

That's how I use it, but I also use it for cleaning/protecting my Bonneville chrome wheels, and for cleaning off chain oil from the painted back wheel on my Street Triple. Because I don't ride much in the winter and have a dry garage I use GT85 (and/or Muc Off Bike Protect) instead of ACF50 for protecting my bikes.

I really rate GT85, shame its not available in the US... but for those in the UK it can be got for £3 (400ml) from Amazon if you buy 6 cans: https://www.amazon.co.uk/GT85-Chain-Lubricant-Displacer-Bicycle/dp/B00N9G570U/ref=asc_df_B00N9G570U

As an alternative just try searching for bike protection sprays, there are many other available but most are at least twice the price, e.g. Muc Off Bike Protect (also very good IMO), Weldtite (not used), Silkolene Pro Prep (very expensive)

Edit: I've just noticed that Muc Off also have another product which looks comparible with GT85, which is MO94 (but is PTFE free) and is available for £3.20 (400ml) from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Muc-Off-MO94-Multi-Spray-PTFE/dp/B00FZM38WA/

Jc, like you, I couldn't find the GT-85 here in the States, so I've been using this. So far, it's been a pretty good product

Fs365 is the go to product I use, I've got gt85 as well.
I use fs365 after every wash and it makes my bikes look like new, dirt doesn't stick and washes off with ease.

I’ve used Mucoff MO94 in my bike per Fillinghams instructions using GT85. I let it dry overnight on all the surfaces I apply it. Done this for three years and all the paintwork looks new. Zero corrosion on any fasteners as well. I get a little smoke when I first heat the engine up due to the last bit of moisture burning off, but nothing to worry about. Oh, don’t get this anywhere near your brakes!

Just as a point from myself, i think the GT85 method that Mr Fillingham recommends, it is for summer only to make cleaning easier. The S100 says it is for winter layups. This would tend to suggest that it will be more ACF50 (which he recommends for winter use) and allow dirt to stick but have much more protective qualities.

Yes another user of the scottoiler fs365 used it for years,on my old R1 and Zrx just a light spray avoiding discs etc, then use bike and another fine coat makes it way easier to clean the bike and the dead flies etc come off far easier.
