That's shit news mate

I think companies will start laying people off as soon as the Government stop paying the bill, I am really quite concerned about where this will go to be honest, already predictions of a recession worse than anything we have ever seen before.

 

Two of the larger employers in our area have announced plans to make redundancies.
One, a customer of ours, have said 80ish from a staff of around 240, the other, a similar number from approx 160.
Both primarily Aerospace industry.
Certainly seems to me that they are obviously facing difficulties at the moment, but also that they don't see things recovering to pre-covid levels anytime soon.
Tough times ahead for sure, we're not going to see the full effect for 18-24 months, maybe more.

 

Well, that always sucks. I'm afraid this is just getting started, all around this sick world of ours. Keep your chin up, Whenever this has happened to me, it always turns out my next job was better!
