Went for a ride this evening around Beachy Head and the South Downs
I was struck how in such a short time nature is creeping back, pulled over and all I could hear were birds singing, no traffic, no humans, and the sky a lovely blue that I can’t remember seeing for years a gorgeous evening for being out on the bike.

What a beautiful road and looks good condition. Bet it made you smile loads. And i agree with both camps we got to get the country moving again. The debt we are racking up is incredible and it's our children and grandchildren that will end up bearing the burden for a stupid virus. But also i absolutely love to get up early sit in my garden with a cup of tea and listen to the birds feathered type and just listen no planes every minute and less trains in the background. Less busy roads yes bliss indeed.
    Regards
    Joe.

Every morning I go to the kitchen and make a cup of coffee, while the kettle is boiling I open the back door to check out the weather and everyday I get a lovely fresh air smell that I don't think I've smelt since I was a child.

Very rare to find a place with absolute silence apart from nature nowadays. Great that you stopped to recognise it too. It’s easily missed in the huddle and bustle of life.
Regarding the apocalypse, search out Life after people documentary. Plots how long it takes for proof of human existence to be erased if humans suddenly disappeared.

Same road in different times, might head that way this week on my day’s off before it gets busy again.

I do think we all sense that man is reaching a turning point. He cannot continue as before, polluting and destroying. At the same time, he has to make a living. Certainly time for some serious reflection. In my view, I do not think the rulers of this world are up to the task of leading man out of the mess he has made. They are too tyed up in self will, political dominance, and greed. Man better get is sorted quickly. I am more inclined to think God is going to end up taking mankind "to the woodshed" in the near future. Sorry. Just the opinion of this ignorant old man. ...J.D.

Our rulers are the same as us, confused and apprehensive about a future we cannot see. This world was not created to last forever. We were given limited resources. Everything wears out or is used up. We can't burn things forever. However, I believe this world is not the end. I have a purpose and meaning here. I have been told what to do. Love God and Love your neighbor. I trust in the Lord for everything else. Just take the next step. I am a happy man.

Life is short so you need to pack in all of those things that you want to. The virus will pass and societies will bounce back and we will quicckly adjust to what ever the new normal will be. And then we will pick up all those things that we have yet to do.
