Bruce Henry Its just called the crank cover. COVER, CRANK, BLACK T1260273 Welcome to the family and nice machine. When you fit your gasket be careful to torque those screws up right as they strip very easily do them a little at the time and staggered.. Regards Joe.
Welcome to the forum, mate! I'm sure you will find it full of friendly like-minded folks who love motorcycles and want to help everyone enjoy them. I don't know what dealers are near you. But, like the tip you already received, check a few Triumph dealer's websites and find one who has a web-based parts list or finder. There you will find a lot of exploded views with part names, numbers and prices. That will help you identify things and improve your knowledge base of the workings of your bike. I know somebody mentioned WoT but their online parts system used to use an inhouse parts code which only translated to the Triumph part number on checkout - this may have changed since I last used them. Fowlers online parts system uses the Triumph part numbers - I've also found them to be very quick, with same day despatch of in-stock items if ordered in the morning. At £9.65 including VAT for the OEM gasket that seems reasonable. Ish. Hi, yes, it has been said that the bolts will need to be torqued correctly to save the gasket getting crushed. I now think I’m getting a bit out of my depth with this so might have to seek professional assistance!!! Thanks for your reply.
