Hi John and welcome to the forum and Triumph Looking forward to seeing your new purchase. I would start under the bikes group thread and technical thread (eg tyres) for general reading or use search for interest areas (eg upgrades)
BOOG Welcome to the family. Yes when you get your steed do show the inmates the steed just hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and bingo picture on it's way. Yes some inmates here in the asylum either can't read or just get excited when there's a new boy to pick on but you will be all right. This as a forum and my opinion is the best out there and do care and help each other out. Just read through the posts and you will see even numpties like me who kick over their polish only to have it replaced by a member free of charge and many more things. And believe me there are some clever peeps here in this asylum they won't ever get out as they are addicted to Triumph and the banter. Always good to be a paid up member when this virus is over as I along have paid for my membership many many times over at Halfords with the discount card. Now the 120 Bonnie is some piece of machinery and ticks most boxes for the 120 riders and there's loads of accessories out there to personalise your steed. And if you ever need guidance just pop a question here in the Bonnie sections and sure enough you will get all the answers and different ways to do a job all valid. Regards Joe.
no idea, i am new to this site myself but have had loads of triumphs, what bike have you come from? japanese or harley
Grew up on dirt bikes and then got an SV1000s and RC51. Sold the RC and still riding the SV. Should have the Bonnie by the end of the week.
Thanks a lot Joe, for the great feedback! My intent for the Bonneville is to keep it forever kind of like I’ve promised my SV. There’s a lot of sentimental value in that bike. I’m sure the Triumph is going to turn out the same way. As far as mods, I plan to keep it all original but I’ll have to consider the bar end mirrors with my shoulder width. When I was younger I wanted to mod/change things. Now, I wanna keep what the designers and engineers intended. We’ll see...
