    HI,

I think I'm getting tennis elbow again and I'm worried about getting out and riding come the spring. Has anyone had it, any recommendations? They don't seem to give you the steroid jab anymore nowadays and the last time I had it took ages to settle. I'm going to especially suffer with the Thruxton low bars.

    Cheers

To be honest I've has so may injections and such that I couldn't care anymore, but seems like they just don't do it anymore. What are these straps, should I just google them?

I do quite a bit of weightlifting, so I suppose that doesn't help and have stopped.

    Cheers

Tube type stretchy bandage 4" long just from elbow down worn in the day time sorts it out :)

Had a Cortisone injection in my left elbow years ago as treatment for tennis elbow and had no more problems for 10 years :)
But as HT said it was painful which lasted for about 18 hours but it was worth it. As they say no pain, no gain o_O

image.jpg This works when mine starts bothering me. Just YouTube tennis elbow Thera-band exercises. The one that is like rolling off the throttle really seems to help

I'm fortunate that I don't suffer from this debilitating ailment, but.Ms Tiger does, she say's she only gets relief when she has her hands in her pockets......... What an excuse for not carrying the shopping in.:D

:DThank God I got a couple of helpful posts before it deteriorated.
I'm old, don't play tennis, and sadly for Wishbone's suggestion I'm right handed and it's my left arm that has the problem. I suppose I could try with my left, no, think I'll just buy the brace.

Sorry mate. But in the fairness of things I do hope you get it sorted. I have never had it so don't know what's it like. But people I know say it's painful and more frustrating. Do go and see the doc best thing sure it will knock you for a while but at least when the good weather comes you will be fit and ready to go.
    Regards
    Joe.

Acupuncture worked! Unfortunately I tried that with my back but no success, but will try for my elbow if nothing else works. For my back I had spinal injections, loads of money on different treatments over about 20 years, and then tried Pilates, and it worked. I felt odd at first in the class, only bloke with what I thought were a lot of elderly women, until I realised I was just the same age. Don't go anymore but do some exercises every morning and swear by it now. No good for sodding tennis elbow though.

    Cheers
