Hello, My name is Rich and I live in/from (US) Sacramento, California. I had a couple dirt bikes when I was younger, Honda 125 and a two stroke 90. Fast forward to my midlife crisis and I think I want to buy a street triple RS 2020 as my first street bike. Also, I would like to start a project bike a friend has rotting in a yard (Triumph). My dad owned a few Triumphs, Norton's, BSA and Harley's.
I'll see when I get home if I can find one of his. I posted some in "projects" section of a friends in pieces that I want to acquire, I just don't know year and how much should pay
Welcome Rich. One good Triumph usually causes me to buy another. Might I suggest first buying a good solid.machine and getting your riding skills back first. Restoring a machine that is "rotting away" is not as easy as it may seem. Enjoy and be safe. ...J.D.
The project would be just that..a project but I totally agree. I'm currently looking at these two BUT I really the the 2019 white
Rich: Do you have a current M/C endorsement on your license ? If not you might want to get that process going early. I.had not had to renew mine in over 40 years. Out of the blue they made me take it [only the written]. No reason that I can determine. That was the wierdest test I have ever taken. Took me twice to pass it. Obviously not written by someone who rides motorcycles and I even wonder if english was thier native language . You will also have to take a state mandated rider safety class [I was grandfathered on that one]. Just a heads up in case you are not current ...J.D.
Yes, I will be taking the safety course to obtain my license..or I should say the driving test portion is included. Then I will need to go to my local DMV for written test.
