Now living in South Carolina, USA. Owned a lot of bikes over the last 50+ years. One of them was a '78 T140E. Sold my last bike ('06 FLHTCI) last summer. Told my Wife that I think I'm done riding.......However it's in my blood and have the bug to get back out on 2 wheels. Being 70 years old, flying by the seat of my pants days are behind me. I'm thinking of buying a nice reliable cruiser. Planning on another Bonneville. I'll probably be looking at a used T100. My wife loved riding on back, so need to consider her comfort for 100 mile jaunts. Just wanted to say and pick up a few tips, from y'all on the forum.

    Hi and welcome!

Even though I don't own one now you won't go wrong with a Bonnie.

    Have fun and be safe

Welcome Namvet, The Bonneville T140's are lovely bikes, I had a '77 T140v for 5 years, until a woman driver came steaming out of a side street after a nark with her husband, and sent me into the tarmac and hospital, and the bonnie to Triumph heaven. The T100 is a lovely bike and should suit you sir (Sorry British catchphrase) Have fun whatever you get, and post a photo of it on here when you do.

Thanks for suggestion. Will look into T-Bird. I've done cross country trips in the past on Harleys. Just mainly looking for a bike,to head out on short rides when I get the urge. Rides would be split between the bike and the '32 Ford street rod, sitting in the garage.

Sounds like an awesome project. Lucky to be working on in school. Only thing I made in school, was a wood cutting board that was shaped like a pig, for my Mom. LoL...

Welcome to the family. The only advice I would give is get out there and test ride test ride test ride. You will find the best mate soon enough you will just know. Comfort and all that forget about it as that is something you can add any time so many different options out there for seats. Do let us all know when you have found your steed with a picture if possible.
    Regards
    Joe
