Recommend me a screen.

Fancy a bit of a screen on the bike. I don't want a huge barn door of a thing. Was at Edinburgh Triumph yesterday and the screen on the LT is huge, not for me.

How much difference does a little fly-screen make, quite like the look of the Dart one, nice looking brackets as opposed to the other after market with attachments to the bars. Does it make any difference to the wind blast or not ? Even as small as that?

What you got? How do you find it?

(Apologise for posting so much, just like to ask before I leap)

The Dart screen works excellently and out of all proportion to it's size.

Well I'm not sure Steve that the appropriate level of grovelling has been achieved yet.

Had a dart Flyscreen on the Bonneville - makes a big difference despite the small size.

Thanks guys. Like the look of the dart and the mounting bracket fits in with the bike, so think I'll pop for one of those. Was worried it was too small, but sounds like it will take the worst of the wind off. I had a puig screen, similar the MRA one on my VT125, that did a good job, but like the look of the wee fly screen when fitted on the America.

Just gotta get all my parts off the gixxer (levers, crash bungs, screen, race can) cleaned up & flogged to pay for it. No point sat gathering dust and keeps the money, spent on the bike. Not be doing many miles now, until spring, so no great hurry. (Wee tour to Ullapool booked for the Easter weekend:)).

    Anybody got a K6 /K7 GSXR 600 / 750 ????? :D:D:D

I got a Givi screen from Norman Hyde, pretty good for fair weather riding but you get a bit buffeting on your helmet over 60mph.

I'm not sure exactly what the "bleuch" comment meant in relation to wine but I'm guessing it's a no-no for you.

You should be aware that that there are special brigades of the Gendarmerie - the "Appreciation Relating to Superior Enjoyment" - or A.R.S.E. and - the "Serious Punishment and Negligible Knowledge And Regimental Suspension and Execution - S.P.A.N.K.A.R.SE. as they are more commonly known over here.

Their mission is to seek out and bring to justice perpetrators consuming food of drink WITHOUT the proper training and application and their remit is International. They are on attachment to InterPol.

Regulations state "the consumption of cheese WITHOUT the appropriate RED wine is wholly unacceptable and illegal and will be punished vigorously within the remit of the current laws"

It's up to you off course, but I've seen pictures re-offenders being force-fed Brie and Bordeaux for days on end and their livers turned into Foie Gras - it's not pretty mate.

I absolutely hate all wine !!! I would rather drink a bottle of bucky (Buckfast Tonic Wine)than a decent bottle of Bordeaux !!!! It all tastes like fruity vinegar and burn like diesel in my stomach ! (Not so good at syphoning, lol ). It is just palatable, if diluted with a good slosh of lemonade.

Not just wine, I also don't like most whisky either, unless diluted with Irn-Bru ! That upsets lots of my kinsfolk, so it's not only the grape, but also the grain I dislike ;-)

I am rather partial to the odd bottle of Port ! Nice LBV or Tawny goes very nice with cheese.
