Hi all, for the 1200 Daytona project I decided to use Trident side panels. Mainly because I'm trying to shorten the look of the of the bike and I can cut off the flat rear section and still have a nicely shaped side panel. The question is.... I've bought some from ebay, in primer and very good condition but they have a very subtle difference to others I've seen. They have 3 raised ridges, obviously a nod to it being a triple but I was wondering if these are from a 750 or maybe an early version of the Trident?

    Cheers,

Hmmm ... not seen that before. I'm not saying it's wrong, or even unattractive, just that it's a new one on me!

To be honest I'm only going off pictures on the net but I can't find any others like them. Not that it makes any difference to me as the panels will be cut and shut in order to get the look I'm after so I'll more than likely sand them flat anyway. Just curious really.

    Cheers,

Not seen that either - mines a 93 version - I don't think the panels are different on the 750.
    Looks OK though I think.
