Hello Joe, ok some more words to me in my passion as motorcyclist and engineer. I like running country roads and hate to fire along highways. Police likes me to do the opposite. I love biking in summer and hate riding in the cold or when it is raining (no go!). Yes I live in the southern mid of Germany, where we use to have a weather like in North Italy. Sometimes hard for the nature, because we miss in summer rain. I live next to Heidelberg. I see motor bikes in 2 ways: The beast to ride and the tool to engineer on. Beside bikes I like engineering at its bests. So I like working on my lathe. I´m pround to own a 1970 Myford ML7. The one is a historical tool still very precious and I rework it permanently. So what I don´t get for my bike, I do by my own. My friends say, I treat the Myford like a old horse: Retried with proud, still loved, give good food and in mild use. Due to I get older, I only take the Thruxton from time to time. My Butter & Bread bike is a 2015 Bonneville. I modified it with passion. 2-1 Shark exhauster, replace intake socket, take out restrictor plate, adjust mapping and so on. The motor tuning, was not bringing power, but the torque in low and mid rotational speed increased like crazy and the sound is lovely, but not loud. German police is very sharp on loud bikes in my area. They are serious on all modification on vehicles. They start commandeering loud bikes and let you go home by foot. So its always a trade off in between customizing and compliance. I think the English governance is in that question more liberal. If you ever hear the abbreviation TÜV, take your foots and run. That Germans technical compliance organization wants to regulate everything and everyone. Run boy run…. Ok heres Marie, my Bonney ... Next time I introduce the one of my wife. She loves classic style and original shape…. Regs Wolfgang
