..... my box of old singles yesterday (records not single cylindered motorcycles!) and decided to see if, after probably north of 30 years lying idle, they still played ok. Pulled out the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour double ep as it was sitting on top of the pile and ..... lo and behold ..... it played perfectly!! No crackles, pops, bangs, clicks or scratches. Original 1967 copy and sounds just like new.
I wonder what else is lurking in that box. Need more time to check. Probably some right old rubbish. Well, I was very young at the time! Certainly feels that way.

Errr .... worryingly, I think I may have a copy of Bachelor Boy by Cliff! I think that Val Doonican was probably a step too far though!
I do remember having a copy of 'A Hard Day's Night', by Peter Sellers, but it got broken.:(

LOL back in 1976 my dad had a 45 with Delaney’s Donkey on one side and Paddy McGinty’s goat on the other... it has made me wonder if he still has it. He also had a 33 ‘Dancing Banjos’ which I remember listening to (and am recollecting their version of ‘roll out the barrel’ as I type...!)

The Jim Reeves christmas album used to be played every year ‘religiously’...
