    Hi Folks.
I'm new here and new to Triumphs so apologies if this has been asked before.
I ride most days, in all weathers, all year round, and as I live in Wales, it's usually raining. After a recent thorough drenching, the seat on my '09 Bonnie SE seems to have soaked up about a gallon of water, which now squishes out all over my arse when I sit on my bike. The seat is currently drying out next to my radiator above an ever growing puddle on my laminate flooring. It's been there for 2 days and the water's still coming.
I'm guessing the water got in through the stitching around the top edge of the seat. The plan is to dry it thoroughly then squidge black silicon goo into the seam and stitching around the top.
Has anybody else had this problem? I'm guessing my seat is the standard offering for this bike, it was on it when I got it. I like the seat, it's comfy and I don't want to change it but the wet gusset look is not cool. And it's cold!

    Cheers Folks :)

I've not had the problem of my seat soaking up water like that, and the SE has had some good soakings recently.
The standard SE seat is lower and more sculpted than the T100 seat (which means less padding!).
I bought a T100 seat off ebay for about under £30 - it's more comfortable and the extra height means that it is less cramped on the legs.

Having googled some pics I'm pretty sure my seat is standard. It doesn't look modded at all.
I guess comfort is relative. I've been riding an xbr500 for a good few years now and after that the Bonnie feels like an armchair. I'm a short-arse too so the height suits me nicely. I'll check out ebay though.

    Cheers :)

Yup, it seems that way. I haven't found anybody else with the same problem so something is definitely amiss. I'll give it a go with the silicon and if that fails I'll hit ebay.

    Thanks folks :)
