After each ride I wipe the paint down gently with a microfibre cloth soaked in hot water. After wiping a small area, like the tank, rinse cloth in hot water before moving on. I use a different cloth for the lower part of the bike as well as the wheels. There are no scratches or marks in my matte black paint using this method for cleaning. With matte paint I wouldn’t recommend leaving a dirty bike for days before cleaning, that’s a sure way of scratching the paint.

I've been using SDoc Matt wax and it seems to work pretty well and maintains the matt finish...little YouTube video for your entertainment..

I've had a matte black RSV for 17 years that is still matte :cool:
Standard shampoo and water then chamois leather or microfibre dry, no polish as it will start to gloss the paintwork ;);)
The other quick clean is baby wipes :p:p

I will have to give this a go as i just painted my bike in a matte finish. I have been using Mothers Wax as you Dry which seems to be doing a good job so far but always looking to venture out for bigger and better things!

Then I suggest you put a ceramic coating on it. That is the biggest and best thing you could do ;).
