Yeah, I'm going to install an LED headlight bulb and a headlight strobe mod. I almost never ride at night (too many deer bombs in TX, and they WILL ruin your day). Again, since this bike isn't as visible as my Indian, I think the strobe will help on-coming "turners" see me. I really like the easy location of the highbeam switch because it allows me to flash my headlights at on-coming and turning traffic as I reach an intersection.
Welcome to a terrific forum, Ftel, and to the wonderful world of Triumphs! Great bike and thanks for posting photos. I'm with you, I show folks photos of my bikes like I'm sharing pics of the kids (or, these days, grandkids!). I laughed out loud at your comment about starting fights with your wife you can storm off and ride your ST. Watch out, though. She may start riding (if she doesn't already) and beat you out to the garage. Looking forward to reading more about your ST adventures! BTW, interesting how many bikes you looked at and which ones and that, out of all those, you went with the ST. Nice choice! What part of TX do you live in? I have a brother who lives in a suburb of Dallas. I'm in AZ.
Thanks Sandi, you've got a great stable of bikes! My wife usually rides with me on my Springfield; never rode a bike in her life, & now her favorite place to be is on the back of that bike . I'm just outside Dallas as well.
