All scrubbed up and ready to roll... I'm off to Cadwell tomorrow to watch my mate race in the Thundersport series. Looking forward to a couple of hundred miles in the last (probably) of the lovely autumn sun
Enjoy mate, brilliant track, if a little scary the first time you ride it, hope your mate has a good race.
Cheers Billy, had a great day, had a really nice 200 mile round trip, weather was spot on if a little windy at times, i even hd to stop and take my textile trousers off it was that warm. My mate did OK, a 5th and a 6th, he wasn't happy though, he's chasing 3rd in the championship so expected a little more. I've done a couple of track days there, it's a great track. Snetterton is my favourite though.
I liked Cadwell, but wasn't really riding with any real confidence after a couple of crashes in previous rounds, and Cadwell is one of those circuits that take a bit of learning. Of all the circuits we have been to this year Snetterton was my least favourite, way too fast for Bandits, proved out by the amount that blew their engines, if I am honest I found it a bit boring, this was the 200, I can see that the 300 would be better. We've got Oulton Park next weekend, I see the weather is changing, deep joy! Well done to your mate, if he is chasing 3rd in the championship he has had a good season!
I've not ridden the 200 circuit.I know what you mean about it being too fast for the bandit though, my track bike was an SV650 minitwin, so every man and his dog would trounce me down the straights, but i had my fun in the corners where the SV excelled. My mate races in the forgotten era superbike class, he's had a reasonable season, and can just about scrape 3rd with a few decent results.
