Ive been offered a damage, tatty 07 Tiger. It's done 35k with full Triumph service history. The damage consists of Fairing, light unit, front mudguard and front wheel. Apart from these parts, the swingarm will need painting and a new radiator. I have seen a full insurance report from a Triumph dealer who states these parts but also said the frame and subframe are within tolerances.
Now i like to fiddle and have this idea of getting a part of spoked wheels made. 17 rear, 19 front. Alloy sump guard. As for the fairing and light unit, i was thinking of scraping these and fitting a single 7" round headlamp unit. I can make side covers for the sides of the petrol tank to tidy it up. The only thing am stuck with at the moment is what to do with the expansion plastic bottle and where i could position it so it looks neat. I am thinking of a small alloy tank for this instead of a plastic bottle.
What are your thoughts?. Has anyone got a picture editing programme may be photoshop so i can see what the Tiger will look like without the fairing

Roughly worked out i would have to pay out a couple thousand for new parts and secondhand parts are not cheap enough to keep it standard. He is buying back off the insurance and told me if i match the price its mine.
He reconds about £400. Ive had a good look over it as its looked up in his garage. The dealer wanted £150 + Vat a week to store it so with the insurance permission they transported it to his home.

Do it, sounds cool to me. I had an aluminium bottle made up for my r1 streetfighter years ago. You can theme em etc so they look smart. Sounds a cool project to me. Triumph spares guru in Wolverhampton if you need parts.
