Hi guys, just thought i'd pop a quick post up to introduce myself and say hello I picked up my 2016 675R a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loving it! I'm new to the world of Triumph after owning a couple of R6's over the last 10 years - both trackbikes - and after initial worries that i'd miss the performance of a sportsbike, I soon found that the striple does it all but with the added bonus of comfort which makes it perfect for the roads....with a better soundtrack! I've missed road riding which is why I've moved away from sportsbikes (nothing to do with getting old, honest) and have a couple of weekend excursions planned and hopefully a Euro-tour before the end of the year. Also have a trackday booked at Oulton in August so I can't wait to see how she fairs on the track but after a couple of rides I can already tell that the suspension will be more than up to the task, I just have some slight doubts about the brakes but time will tell... Anyway, enough of my waffle, looking forward to using these forums and meeting some fellow Triumph riders. I have a couple of technical issues (clutch/judder/rattles) which i'll ask about in the appropriate place. Cheers Joeski
Hi and welcome, let me know what date your track day is and if I’m about I will pop over. Only live 4 miles from Oulton Park.
Hi guys, thanks for the welcomes! My trackday is on the 20th August Wessa, so yeah if you're around pop down and say hello, i'll be with a red and white r6
thanks loads for the warm welcomes, this certainly seems like a friendly place to settle down in As for trackdays - I highly recommend everyone does one, regardless of what you ride! They're a fantastic way to learn about both yourself and your bike in a safe, controlled and relaxed environment...it's not full of race enthusiasts like you may think...i've seen all sorts of classic bikes, tourers, naked bikes and everyone you talk to on the day has a massive smile on their face
Hi Mate and Welcome to the Forum The Street R's brakes are brilliant, if yours aren't then get them looked at.
Hi and Thanks Billy! Funny you should say that, because a few people have said the same thing to me so i've just bought some new pads and fluid and will give them a good service over the weekend and see how they perform!
