Thanks for the message Rob. Hi all, Mikey here from Cardiff. I'm well into my fifties and caught the riding bug on a recent trip to India. It was about £2.00 for a small taxi journey or £2.00 a day to hire a motorbike. Needless to say I took the second option and learned too ride the "Indian Way" which is worthy of a separate post or even a separate form. Though it's safer than it looks on TV Anyway, on my return in March, I bought a 125, got used to riding in the UK and passed my test earlier this week and after much research, I've been drawn to the Street Scrambler or Street Twin....hence my reason for joining the forum. Best Regards Everyone
Welcome Michael, congrats on the test pass. Doesn’t take much to get the biking bug does it? Good luck in your search for the right bike for you. Enjoy when you decide, and ride safe. It’s a good start getting the experience in India.
Hi and welcome, interesting start to your riding..... Hope you get the bike you want and take it steady for a while
Welcome to the forum, Mikey, and good luck with your Triumph choice and purchase decision. I've found that test rides can make the decision much easier after doing the initial research and narrowing down the choices. Plus it's another excuse to get out and ride!
Welcome from sunny California. For what it is worth I really like my Street Twin. Tubeless tires are a must (for me at least for safety reasons)
Michael O Welcome to the family. You say self preservation and you posted on here in the a Mad House. If it were not that Nursey helps us all with meds and writing we wouldn't know what to do or say. But do keep us all in the know when you get your new steed with a picture if possible for us all to ogle at even the 125 will do for now helps nursey aswel whilst we ogle the pic's she dishes out the meds. Ride Safe & Enjoy Joe.
Hi and welcome. Test ride both and see what you like! Looking forward to hearing more about your Indian adventure!
Thanks everyone, I've booked the test rides for Saturday. I'm going to try the Street Twin and Street Scrambler.... for now. I'll get back with my thoughts
