    Hey all,

I just sold my 78 Honda CB550 and have my eye on a 2018 T120. It comes with a bunch of accessories and has 2600 miles and I would be 3rd owner. I'm super excited and from the Syracuse NY area. I've had sport bikes in the past an R6 and 750 GSXR. Huge fan of the Triumph look though. Anythjng I should check or look for when I go look at the bike? He's asking 9250 but is flexible on price. Any help appreciated.

Welcome mate, hope you’re going to enjoy the bike more than the last two owners if you buy it. 2600 miles from 2 owners? Makes you wonder why they bought it : unamused:

Hi and welcome. I’ve got a 2016 T120 couple of things you might want to check for.
    - front brake squeal. Front wheel modifications are needed if present.
    - headstock cable tidy. It was recalled as some wires were rubbing.
    - any corrosion to spokes and wheels. Needs a good cleaning regime to prevent.

Decent modifications include replacement rear shocks (I have Hagon) and replacement fork springs, progressive types are a good change.

Welcome to the forum, T120Newb. Good luck with your decision and (hopefully) purchase! I'm assuming you've test ridden the bike but it not--DO! A good brisk test ride has typically made my motorcycle purchase decisions easy--whether it was to buy the bike or not to buy the bike.

That is low mileage as freck mentioned. Maybe the dealer knows the back story. But I've seen lots of bikes that didn't get ridden much for any number of reasons and most often not due to the bike itself. I'm sure if you buy that T120, it will be happy to get out and stretch its "legs"! I have a friend with whom I ride who has one and he loves it.

Welcome aboard buddy. Enjoy the ride. If it still has the stock Phantom tyres* I'd change them - most alternatives will improve the ride.

  12. Hopefully the previous owners kept service records. I'd want to be sure the first service was completed.

The current owner stated that the original owner took it in for initial service which I believe. The current owner traded straight up a Thunderbird LT 1700 for the Bonnie.

Is the front brake squeel a warranty repair, mine has done it twice in the last 200 miles, only had the 17 reg T120 this month?
