Hi, I'm new to the forum and looking for a few good recommendations. I ride a 2014 Tiger 800 XC SE and want to use my iPhone XS as a SatNav. Any recommendations as to the best place to mount a holder, and best holders to consider will be much appreciated. If possible, please include a photo of your mount. Many Thanks... Dash
Hi Dash and welcome to the forum. I use an Interphone phone case for my iPhone X, and it’s been great. Certainly waterproof, as I found out on my recent Scotland trip when I went through biblical rain (much more waterproof than my BMW jacket ) You don’t need to take the phone out of the case to use it, or take pics, and it can be charged in the case. I’ve made my own mount onto my Beemer and adapted the supplied mount to fit. It comes with an adjustable handlebar fixing. Thanks very much, Freck. That mount looks pretty solid. The case is quite expensive, but I guess compared to the iPhone X its just pocket change. I appreciate the recommendation.
I'm just back from a trip to the Pyrenees, and found it would have been handy and saved time to have the satnav and maps right in front of me. But, yep - the pocket works fine most of the time.
Hi Dash and welcome to the forum I used the Triumph connector and case (which doubles as a wallet). Good viewing and weather properties. Also routed a usb to the bars to keep it charged while in use. Need to check dimensions of X to make sure of fit.
