Hi, I've been a bit of a lurker and don't really post much on forums. I do enjoy reading the threads, and I'm especially interested in any project posts.

With this in mind I thought I had best return the favour from all the useful information I have been able to find in here.

I was in my local (ish) dealer, getting a some work done on my old Daytona 600, and he told me that there are some parts that Triumph are selling cheap that fit mine.

After going through some of the items, I managed to get a brand new rear shock for £79 part number was T2054045 (should fit the 650 too). I didn't really need it but thought it too good to pass up on. I also got a new yoke for £19 as mine is worn from my keys.

I was also tempted by a new wheel for £69, but thought I'd spent enough this month. So That is my first purchase come payday (thinking of having a set of wheels with some tyres really good in wet when I ride in winter, and a set with sticky rubber for when we finally get a summer).

There was loads fo stuff for other models too. There was another guy next to me that then asked about a Rear shock for his speed triple. Dunno if he bought it but it was same price.

Anyway, as I said thought some fo you doing projects might be interested.

When I go back next month I can ask about more bits. I got to admit I only asked about my bike, and only know there was parts for other models but didn't ask what.

    Martin.

Hi Martin thanks very much for the info. When you go back, would you be so kind as to ask if there's any special deals on parts for the Bonneville range of Triumphs? Maybe even post a link to this seller?

Hi will do, but I don't remember him mention any of the classic/retro bikes now you mention it. I'm not really into those though so I might just not have paid attention.

As far as I was told, this is a universal thing for all the dealers, and not just the one I visited. I couldn't say if it is only Uk or not though. I got the impression (or was pretty much told) that the stock was going to be scrapped as it is older items, but instead was offered to dealers at cost, or a fraction of cost. I guess enough to cover shipping to dealers maybe.

OK mate, I'll contact some UK dealers I know and see what's what. Thanks for the heads-up anyway.
