Spent a couple of hours in the shop today, trying all kinds of jackets and pants. Leather, so also tried a race combi. But can absolutely NOT get comfy in leather (racy) pants. Found a jacket and ordered it online, since i wanted black and not with white accents. Since I drive a speed triple, I wondered if anyone else has made a decision for leather, or are you holding on to textile? For commute, I use textile. Much easier with regular (office) clothes underneath.

I bought a Rev'it Stewart Air leather jacket at the start of the season, but ended up returning it. It was so heavy and I knew, even with the perforation, that it was going to be hot as hell when the temp gets over 30C. Love the look of leather, but ended up going in a different direction and picked up the Knox Urbane Pro armoured shirt last week. Its perfect for warm/hot weather and you can layer anything over top for added warmth or rain protection.

I had leather pants many years ago. They're great and offer the best protection, but I find textile or riding jeans much more practical. I would never wear the leather pants if I was going some place where I'd be off the bike for a while.

My go to riding kit will always be my Aerostich. Not very fashionable, but waterproof, good for any temperature, awesome protection and I can wear regular street clothes underneath.

I recently bought the Revit Mantis and done about 100 miles. I am very pleased with the airflow and protection. It also comes with Revit removable Hydra waterproof (also acts as a wind stopper). I bought mine from Sportsbikeshop. I am chest size 38" and the small fits me spot on....a little snug but in a good way ;)

Black one wasn’t available anymore, so choose the black/white one. I like it a lot!!
