Afternoon Nutters, Anybody had an engine tune or Re map on a 1050?.. Was it worth it or pointless, reason to ask is on my bike the acceleration feels a tad held back, if that makes any sense. Course I could just be riding like a knob and not using the power properly.. Cheers and thanks all... Andy...
Hi Andy and Welcome to the forum mate It the bike standard? What's the mileage and when was it last serviced? There are guys on here who will be able to help you but they need as much info as possible to help them do so, a lot also depends on what you want to spend, there is much praise on here for Hilltop tuning. Different exhausts/air filters can change the characteristics of the bike, it could just be that there is a race can on there & needs a better map downloaded at your Triumph dealer. Good luck mate, and if you do have success in sorting it out, don't forget to come back on & let us know what it was that you did to sort it. Billy
That's great Bad Billy, it's a 94 edition on a 16 plate, R model and low miles. No road modes on it and factory exhausts which I'm changing.. Top end is great will look into hilltop tuning.. Ta again
Could just be the flat spot you get in the middle of the rev range to help it pass emissions tests, if that's the case, a free flowing exhaust and remap should sort it out, if you want hassle free go for Arrow as there is an existing Triumph map for them.
That makes sense, thought about S C project exhausts as well as Arrow.. Oh didn't mention I am towing a caravan and weigh 30 stone on the bike...

Worth it if you have some money to spend. I picked up a bit more power on mine, not dramatic but definitely more fun now
The Hilltop will smooth out the torque curve giving lots of bottom end and midrange, the top end is pretty good anyway, as you can already tell, and the transition from closed throttle is sublime.
Morning fruit cakes, Have my 1050 booked into Hilltop for this Thurs, thanks for the nod Bad Billy.. I can't wait the blokes up there sound a real good lot, and will def help with flat spot.. Cheers all again.. Andy
