Just in from very first ride on brand new Speedmaster. Rode on wet roads for twenty minutes and HORRIFIED as to how much shit was kicked up onto bike and me, even the ignition key ( on side of bike) was covered in crud. Need to find a fender extender but Triumph don’t seem to show one on Speedmaster accessories list. Anyone any similar experience and solutions.?

Never had that much of a problem with my speed master, so not sure about solutions for you.

As Triumph don't make one yet, McCallen's Triumph fitted the Pyramid one for me. Not an exact fit but double sided sticky tabs did the trick. A blind man on a galloping horse wouldn't notice it wasn't strictly a proper fit. Amazing the difference it makes especially to the radiator and down pipes area.

Why don’t triumph just make decent mudguards to start with?
Seems fooking ridiculous that u have to buy decent fender extenders, seats, centre stands, exhausts etc as optional extras!
Just put em on to start with!

“Here’s a £10k+ bike with a sh*t seat, but we will sell u another seat that might be better for extra cash”.

I doubt the cost difference to Triumph between the “good” and standard (crap) seats is fook all.
    Takes the piss big time.

Many thanks for that Baron, do you know “which” Pyramid model was used as many exist for different bikes. I really need one and disagree with Dozers Dad views. I had one on my recent T120 and it made a significant difference. When you look at the surface area size of a fender extender, the amount of water and crud that hits the extended mudguard, would otherwise hit your radiator, pipes, side of bike and riders boots and jeans. It does not act like a fairing but can’t fail to reduce amount of water thrown up.

Thanks for info, unfortunately there does not appear to be one available for the new Speedmaster. I agree that your experience would likely have been worse without the extender you show.

Do Conquest Carbon (of this parish) have anything to fit?
    Just a thought.

Thanks, but no parts for Speedmaster shown on their site. They have changed their name to conquest racing, which suggests they may concentrate on sports bikes bits.

I'll find out for you, the bikes going in for a service on Friday, I'll ask. Not much help in floods and heavy rain, but it does keep the radiator protected and certainly stops the upper part of the bike getting mucky in the lighter stuff.

Did you manage to get any idea as to what they fitted to your Speedmaster?

It's the one they use on the Bonneville, it's why it doesn't quite fit as the Speedy's mudguard is slightly wider. But it's doing the job.
