Hi there guys my first post after some help with my valve adjustment. While checking the timing rotating the bike to the tdc1 on crank marks, the cams lobes don't fully point away from the bucket they are about 90% pointing away. To get the lobes I have to rotate the wheel a slight turn to get the right place. But then the crank mark is off.

So the question is should in check valves with lobe pointing away and then when I change shims refit the cams to the correct aligent to tdc which I think is two more teeth on the can chain. The bike has always ran well but little noisy just want to check before I bend a valve. Sorry if that is long winded

You don't have to worry about TDC when you're just checking valve clearances, just make sure the lobes are pointing up on the valves you're checking. You only have to get everything aligned when you are removing/replacing the cams.
