Not meaning to have a pop at you, but are you sure you want to be using your phone whilst riding your bike? Mobile phone use is the number 1 cause of all serious and fatal accidents cited in the latest government statistics. Dave
I use my phone for Sat nav but I keep the phone in a plastic bag in my pocket so I know that if I get caught in a torrential downpour it'll keep dry. The Google maps app on my iPhone gives voice commands so I just listen to them through some sports bud earphones. That way I can keep my eyes on the road.
I use a phone mount and case from a company called twisty ride ,it can be mounted to the bars but I didn't like it so I modded the mount it's waterproof and I can plug it in to charge my phone on the go I use the tom Tom app which I brought for my I phone which doesn't use data connection as all the maps are stored on the phone ,I will be getting a blue tooth head set when I can finally decide what make to get
I looked to do the same however most mobile mounts are for push bikes, I put mine in the map part of my Tank bag only looking now and then cus I got me a Scala Bluetooth and listen to directions being howled at me by a chick....peace
Bought one of these together with the handlebar mount for my iPhone 5 thinking I might get to use a lap timer app I'd downloaded. Never actually used it and now I've changed to phone! Open to offers! http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AQ68XRK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
I use a mount from bikebitz.co.uk for my iphone 4S. I have a Scala bluetooth mounted to my helmet. It is perfect for Sat Nav and as the mount is hardwired to the battery, it charges the phone on the go. Couldn't be easier to fit either.
