Hi. Having had several bikes since 1984, all from Japan or former GDR, but now for 3 years a happy owner of a Sprint ST 1050. Living and primarily biking in Denmark, although been to GB several times, with highlights being the from the backseat of my aunt and cousins Morris Mascot 850 on a 3 week long travel around the Lake District, Yorkshire, Scotland in 1978 (long live all creatures Big and Small). Do fancy Bike Magazines like Ride and Bike, and hope to visit UK by Bike in the years to come - Brexit or No Brexit - and without being too political, but.... oh No. Best Wishes
THYG0048. Welcome to the Family. Lovely machine still my favourites. Just got to fast for me and weary eyes. Don't worry about Brexit its just a fiction of someone's imagination. It probably won't ever happen. They will run it on for another year or so while they run around spending our money. Then another couple of years while they talk and spend more of our money. They there will be another vote and the people will be so bored and broke they won't bother. Just talk bikes and at least we know it will happen. Ride Free & enjoy Joe.
Thank’s You all. I’m a bit curious. Here in Danmark Triumphs of the newer generations are still a kind of exotic - and pricier than their japanese counterparts. (In DK both cars and bikes are pricey due to heavy taxation (progressive - the more expensive bike the higher percentage in tax - ex a 11k£ Triumph ( 1£~8,50 dk or 1,2 €) gets a heavy price in DK -180.000 dkr - (+22k£) Do you regard Triumphs as exotic bikes or a natural choice because they are the Best and they are “made in Britain? By the way the Sprint 1050 Abs was originally imported to Denmark in the colors red or blue. The grey, like mine, was a possibility in germany.
Thyg0048 They do have that classic look to them. But I do agree they are a bit pricey even over here. Not many made here any more. Ride Safe Joe.
