Hi mate, the original Pirelli tyres gave me no confidence in the handling/steering of my bike, and I usually adapt very quickly to any new ride,(having had so many),so on the advice gained from this forum, I fitted a pair of Avon Storm XM tyres,(£180 fitted), as soon as I rode away from the tyre depot I could feel the difference, a softer feeling, much better, I have scrubbed them in, but not many miles since, money well spent I reckon. As you say, the bike feels heavy, mainly when wheeling it about, my 350 Yam and 400 Tempter are around 160KG and much more manageable to me with my advanced age and short legs!.
Antony M. Its sorted then we are all coming to your place for breakfast then Triumph and back to your place to spent the weekend. Ride Safe Joe.
Sounds like a plan. But seriously, does the forum host "ride outs" or any kind of "get togethers" ? The Triumph visitors centre would make a great venue. Just a thought.
Ian Dawson / Antony M. I would love to participate get a few Bonnie's together and Triumph's in general. Thing is I work shifts. I would need a choice of possible weekends to sort something out. It has to weekends as my beloved is back in university for the rest of the year. We have a disabled Son that needs care. But maybe Mondays might fit in as she has study days then. Needs someone who has done this before so we can get it up and running. The Triumph visits is it a just come along or does it have to be booked. Regards Joe.
Hi Ian The visitors Centre is open 7 days a week and you can just roll up , the factory tour is another matter, it's usually booked up for months. Be great if just a few of us could just roll up, there's quite a lot to see without the factory tour. I'm guessing that like myself, quite a few of us are retired and a week day would be quite suitable. If there is an interest, then all we need to do is pick a date and just turn up. Let's see.
Hiya Antony, i was airing a wish to maybe get some folks together and ride out to this Triumph museum I saw Post last night and mentioned that i could be a fun meet nd greet thing .Ian

Hi Ian Yes, I share your enthusiasm for a get together. In it's simplest form, all we need to do is post a date and time and see how many folk turn up. It might be difficult picking a day that is convenient for everyone though but if the idea proves popular I suppose it could be repeated; perhaps on a regular basis ? Any thoughts on that ?
Ive got some time off at end of the month could make it really easy for people to just say if they want to meet up there just turn up a particular day n time
Hi Ian Sounds good to me, I can make any day this month so can fit in with your preferred day and time. I guess it's just a case of posting this and seeing if anyone else is interested.
Love the White. Just bought an 18 in White for my wife. Weather hasn’t really cooperated so far, but, so far, she loves it. As for people being drawn to Triumphs, this has been happening to me since my first Triumph back in 1995!
Hi Tony and Welcome to the forum, I must say that riding triumphs has generated more conversations from ex riders from back in the day than anything else.
